Entering into a healthy lifestyle of veganism.

Hello My M*B*S Friends,
It has been quite some time since I have written to you guys. I began to think today, that many people may desire to make a life change. Life changes may be a small little step or a giant leap of faith. Today I want to discuss the importance of recognizing these little changes should not be perceived as a diet, or fit before summer perspective. It's how can I live my life to my utmost potential.

For me the way I began to focus on a healthy lifestyle was veganism. Veganism has now become  popular. For me, it was a lifestyle I have been teetering on my entire life. From the early age of preschool I attended a christian school that was vegetarian. I think this was the start to me recognizing we do not need animal meat or animal products to survive. The older I became the more knowledgeable I was. The life of a living being does not change because they have four legs. Veganism is not just avoiding foods that may contain milk, dairy, eggs, meats, bone etc. It's recognizing the love we have of other living beings.

In 2002 I decided I was no longer going to eat animal products. For me thats was an excellent beginning to a happy lifestyle. I no longer felt guilty of taking milk from a baby cow, or consuming eggs for my benefit. Our world today is miraculous. We are able to find vegan items at every turn. Delicious foods to consume, and vegan clothing, and purses. What a wonderful world we live in.

If you'r thinking veganism is way to hard. I am here to assist you in our small steps we were discussing earlier. Let's start by maybe taking meats out of our diet. To make this step a little simpler. Lets take one day a week you choose to not consume meat. Let's make it Monday... lol not many people like monday anyways. Let's make mondays something new and exciting. A step in the right directing to no harm being done to animals.

Within the next few days, I will be posting healthy vegan recipes and supplements we should consume to support our healthy immune systems and healthy bodies.

XOXO,
       Mrs. Crysal

This recipe came about because I was tired of Purchasing multiple different protein and meal bars that i didn't like. Most of them not vegan and if they were... are they gluten free?? odds are they weren't... the one brand that I fell in love with were the Vega Meal Bars... boy are they wonderful. I loved them but $2.50< I was not having it. I decided if I wanted something healthy and nutritious the best thing is to know how its made and exactly what was in it... SO i decided to make my own Gluten Free, Soy Free, Vegan Protein bars. I am telling you. They are AMAZING!!!
Every time I make these something is always different an thats the best part.

What you will Need...
Glass Bowl
Cookie Sheet
Spatula
Parchment Paper
Lots and Lots of Paper towels (your hands get little messy)

MEal PReparation

Hello Busy Beauties,
I was cooking this weekend and realized not that many individuals are preparing there meals for the week, during the weekends. Today I wanted to express to you guys the importance of Meal Preparation. I have to tell you as a busy woman it would be extremely difficult for me to get the proper nutrients throughout the week if I did not plan. Planning your week during the weekend is a wonderful way to making sure your eating healthy and you are satisfied.
The preparation for me would include:
1. Evaluating how you felt the week prior based on what you were eating...
     A. Were you hungry?
     B. To full?
     C. Needing more energy?
     D. Was it PERFECT?
2. Deciding what you would like to eat for the week?
This for me is the toughest step. I find it difficult at time to figure out what I would like.. Step One truly       helps me with this step.
3. Creating a Budget
Step three and Four work hand in hand together. Being aware of what we have to work with is first.
4. Writing Grocery List
Review your pantry. See what you already have at home, and jotting down the things you will need this week. Maybe even what you are about to run out of. If your living with others and are preparing there meals as well (Children, Spouse, & Family Members) thinking of what they may also need will come in handy prior to heading to the grocery store.
5. In the Grocery Store
Purchasing everything you need first before perusing the other Isles.
6. Being aware of the labels!!
Purchasing Organic is a must for many items, some you may not. Review the clean 15 and the Dirty Dozen. If you are able to purchase all Organic i do recommend. MY favorite store to shop in is Whole Foods. I find that many of there items are right up my isle and have health in mind first before being name brand.
Buying in Bulk is also a wonderful way to save money and reassure yourself that it is Organic.
If you have a local farmers Market I Do recommend purchasing your produce there first if you are able. Giving back to our community and local growers is a wonderful way to reassure yourself you are eating healthy and you will continue to have a local farm in business.

Thank you for taking the time to review My first Blog.

God Bless & Namaste
