Hello Busy Beauties,
I was cooking this weekend and realized not that many individuals are preparing there meals for the week, during the weekends. Today I wanted to express to you guys the importance of Meal Preparation. I have to tell you as a busy woman it would be extremely difficult for me to get the proper nutrients throughout the week if I did not plan. Planning your week during the weekend is a wonderful way to making sure your eating healthy and you are satisfied.
The preparation for me would include:
1. Evaluating how you felt the week prior based on what you were eating...
A. Were you hungry?
B. To full?
C. Needing more energy?
D. Was it PERFECT?
2. Deciding what you would like to eat for the week?
This for me is the toughest step. I find it difficult at time to figure out what I would like.. Step One truly helps me with this step.
3. Creating a Budget
Step three and Four work hand in hand together. Being aware of what we have to work with is first.
4. Writing Grocery List
Review your pantry. See what you already have at home, and jotting down the things you will need this week. Maybe even what you are about to run out of. If your living with others and are preparing there meals as well (Children, Spouse, & Family Members) thinking of what they may also need will come in handy prior to heading to the grocery store.
5. In the Grocery Store
Purchasing everything you need first before perusing the other Isles.
6. Being aware of the labels!!
Purchasing Organic is a must for many items, some you may not. Review the clean 15 and the Dirty Dozen. If you are able to purchase all Organic i do recommend. MY favorite store to shop in is Whole Foods. I find that many of there items are right up my isle and have health in mind first before being name brand.
Buying in Bulk is also a wonderful way to save money and reassure yourself that it is Organic.
If you have a local farmers Market I Do recommend purchasing your produce there first if you are able. Giving back to our community and local growers is a wonderful way to reassure yourself you are eating healthy and you will continue to have a local farm in business.
Thank you for taking the time to review My first Blog.
God Bless & Namaste
